Fire risk assessments

If you are an employer, owner, a landlord, or occupying a business or other non-domestic premises, you are responsible by law for fire safety – you are seen as ‘the responsible person’.

If, as a result of a failure to properly carry out a fire risk assessment, an occupant of the building or someone in the immediate vicinity is put at risk of death or serious injury in case of fire, an offence is committed which can lead to a heavy fine or, in serious cases, imprisonment.

You can download the guidelines from the Health and Safety Executive, but if you are too busy running your business or you feel you need expert advice, our Qualified Fire Risk Assessor can help you fulfil your legal obligations with an on-site fire risk assessment.

Once this is complete, we will provide you with a comprehensive written report – giving you peace of mind and fulfilling your legal responsibilities.
